What is your proposal story?

“Jaime and I have been together for 6 years. He took his time for sure but he always wanted to get a place to live before he even asked me to marry him. So, we finally closed on our home, and about a year later when we finally got settled in, he proposed & I was very caught off guard. He did pretty well at surprising me. He got on one knee and it took me so long to say yes because I was in such shock lol I was speechless.”

What is your favorite part about being engaged?

“My favorite part about being engaged is no one asking me anymore when we’re getting married lol also the planning! It can be stressful at the time but definitely exciting! Dress shopping was my absolute favorite! But marrying my best friend tops it all!”

What advice do you have for other couples planning a wedding?

“My advice to other couples is to give yourself enough time to plan. I know once you’re engaged you want to plan your wedding ASAP because that was me! But my fiancé suggested we wait a little bit longer and it will be a lot less stressful. Also, it will give you more time to save up and prepare! Trust me, time goes by super fast.”
